I paid for the advance app to receive daily push notifications as advertised and the option is not available.

Nothing is more handy then having a dictionary and thesaurus on your phone!! Of course you have Google but its just not the same....this is a great idea. The bad part is that it seems we are getting rid of paper back and hard cover books completely, its almost to easy to have everything with just the touch of an app

Short and sweet, the games get in the way of the dictionary rendering useless.

I look up a word like “praetorian”. M-W app redirects me to “praetor” to find a definition. So, I go to “praetor”. M-W App redirects to “praetorian” where I started. A non-defining circle. 1 in 7 of my searches revolve undefined.

Enjoyed the games, they limited but beneficial in building vocabulary and re-learning the correct pronunciation of as esoteric word. Unfortunately, the ability to hear a word pronounced stopped working at the hard level. Perhaps an update is needed. Thank you for the use of your app.

I have been using this app for 3 months now and I enjoy it. Although at times the voice for the pronunciation doesnt work the thesaurus does comes in handy.

For a dictionary app, I was shocked to see 2 alerts within the first minute of opening the app that said, ‘click.... I’d expect more from M-W. This is iOS, not a website.

Whats better about a phone app than a hard copy dictionary? That on a phone, you should be able to hear how a word is properly pronounced. Unfortunately, while M-W ostensibly offers this - theres a mini megaphone you click on next to each word - that feature doesnt work.

I would be most pleased if the word that Im looking up wasnt written in the giant size font & the layout was more like a traditional dictionary presentation- As it is now I have to constantly scroll & shrink it- and the content is minimal- please think about making it appear like your word of the day entry- The way it is now is like its been dumbed down for the reader

Upgraded the app & it no longer works! How do I get the old version back? Or can you please fix this version ASAP? Sure if you type in a word spelled correctly it is there - but whats the point? And the ability to speak a word & have it listed NEVER works??!! This was a great app. Please address the issues & make it great again.

Why is it, that when this app tells me "no match found" the first entry in Safari, for the word Im looking for, is Merriam Webster?

While I found this to be useful it also frustrates. Because you cant rotate the screen it makes entry tedious. Typing on the portrait keyboard isnt as easy it could be and dictation is only useful when you know its correct pronunciation. The limited number of words in the Thesaurus limits adequate substitutions making it less helpful finding things.

I havent played any of the games, but Im sure they are fine. My only regret, however, is not verifying whether or not this app represents the unabridged version (it does not.)

Using my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Pro iOS 9.3.1, Voice Search will not look up a word. Once the mic is activated to look up a word, it shows recording, analyzing, and then the message "Sorry we couldnt understand". I spoke loud and clear without a rush or any background noise. After testing a number of words, the app would simply activate when the mic is tapped to show recording and analyzing without detect and apply. Please Fix!

I use this app more then I thought I would. My co-workers and I enjoy looking up the word of the day and try using throughout the day!!

The voice search feature has Not been working even after this last update

I have the same issue as the user below- the mic doesnt work. Sure it worked well before but now it is just malfunctioning! Please fix it.

Definitely voice search does not work with latest update.

Saves me a google of unfamiliar words! Its nice that you can refer back to words you previously looked up. The games are a nice touch too, rather challenging.
